A native of upstate New York she also spent time growing up in Ottawa, Canada where she first began riding at the age of 5. She moved with her family to Virginia in 1971 and then settled in Middleburg in 1976 to continue working with Thoroughbreds for many of the local trainers. An active real estate agent since 1986 and affiliated with Thomas and Talbot since 1993, she is a fifteen consecutive year award winner and member of the Greater Piedmont Realtors, Virginia Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and the Metropolitan Regional Information System (MRIS)
