A native Californian, it was a passion for foxhunting that brought Emily to Middleburg nearly 30 years ago. Prior to her real estate career, Emily was a lawyer with the law firm Gibson, Dunn. She maintains her active status as a California lawyer and brings years of negotiation and drafting experience to every transaction.
Emily joined Thomas and Talbot in 2008. She enjoys working with both buyers and sellers and is consistently among the firm’s top producers. Many of her clients have become cherished friends and she is proud to have represented many of her clients on more than one transaction. Emily has guided several clients through the conservation easement process and has protected two farms of her own with conservation easements.
Emily raised her son here, so she can share insight on local schools, as well as help with the transition of moving a family to an entirely new area. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses and renovating houses. Emily is a member of the Orange County Hounds, a supporter of the Piedmont Environmental Society, Virginia Land Trust, Goose Creek Association and the National Sporting Library & Museum. She also serves on the Board of the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center. As someone who moved to the Virginia hunt country and never looked back, Emily looks forward to welcoming you to this magical area too.
